I have another art piece up for sale at the Flower of Life Gallery. This time the Artist guild of Lockport and other artists in the community are coming together for the Demons In The Shed Art Show.
The Artist guild of Lockport: Origins Art Show was amazing. There was a huge turn out and plenty of talented art up for display. THe Exhibit runs from October 4-19th and all art is up for auction unless labeled otherwise

- I am Julisa Scotland, I’m a junior attending Lockport Township High School, and I'm the cartoonist for The Porter Press. I took general art on and off in elementary and middle school until I graduated. I've been drawing for as long as I can remember and at Lockport I chose to continue taking art classes, and started off with Introduction to art 1 and 2 for my freshman year; Drawing 2 for a year long as a sophomore; And now I currently Take AP Studio Art (For drawing/Painting). Art is a big passion for me and I try to integrate it into my daily life whenever I possibly can.
My favorite things to draw are portraits, profiles, eyes, and abstract shapes. I usually prefer to work in Ink, colored pencil, watercolor, and sometimes chalk pastel. Last year for the 2013 Lockport Township Art Show I won 1st place for printmaking, 3rd for mixed media, and honorable mention in drawing/painting. I also participated in the GR2012: sustainability festival hosted by Joliet Junior college where I received an honorable mention for my acrylic painting. In the LTHS 2014 Student Art Show I won 1st place for Drawing and painting, 3rd Place for mixed media, and Best in show.
For my AP Studio Art Portfolio I wanted to explore more into physical and mental aspects of life. So, for my concentration I decided to go with the theme The Body as a Canvas. Within my concentration I drew portraits and figures with undertones of cultural art and surrealism.
